What is jeff hostetler?

Jeff Hostetler is a retired American football quarterback who played in the NFL for the New York Giants and the Oakland Raiders. He was born on April 22, 1961 in Reading, Pennsylvania. Hostetler played college football at West Virginia University before being drafted by the New York Giants in the third round of the 1984 NFL Draft.

Hostetler spent the majority of his career with the Giants, where he served as the backup quarterback behind Phil Simms. He became the starting quarterback in 1990 after Simms suffered a season-ending injury and went on to lead the Giants to a Super Bowl victory that season.

Hostetler went on to play for the Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders from 1993 to 1996 before retiring from professional football. He finished his career with over 15,000 passing yards and 94 touchdowns. Hostetler is remembered for his toughness and leadership on the field, as well as his impressive performances in the postseason.
